Fuzzy! Been using your TH6 base and it is now maxed out. Upgrading to TH7 and will switch to this plan. What order of installing building/upgrading buildings and walls do you suggest for transition? Will leave comments over on TH6 of course.

I like the look of this but made a few changes, and I'll tell you why.

Let me know if you think it was worth the change or not....

---I switched an elixir collector on the right for a gold collector inside the right wall so if someone comes on the right side, they won't get too much of one resource.
---Switched the left elixir storage and the bottom gold storage, primarily because I always have full elixir tanks and no gold from upgrading walls and didn't want to lose too much from a raid from the east.
---Pulled the cannon from the upper left in closer to reach more space along the top and cut the wall down, switched the upmost elixir collector for the dark barracks so the left side is less enticing, and then put the extra walls to fence in one of the spring traps.

I'll try and see if I can make the plan modifications on here and post it back, but I'd like your feedback if they were good/bad changes and why. I'm still learning, and always looking forward to advice.

Hello again, Fuzzy! I've been using you're th5 and 6 defensive bases and they've worked out perfectly so far, and I'll probably be moving over to this design eventually. I am, as Jeremy4343, currently farming though, and since your bases are defensive bases, I had to find another base.

I couldn't find a farming base that suited my needs though, so decided to make one myself! I actually think it turned out alright, but it would make me happy if you were to check it out, and drop a comment on what you think and what improvements could be done.

Thank you, and clash on :)

Jeremy4343 - Thanks for the good words. Yes, you could be using a Farming base if you're trying to reduce your Trophy count, so you can Farm at lower levels for Resources. I protect Storages pretty well in my designs, so a Farming base shouldn't be necessary just for protecting resources. As I pointed out, this design is built around the idea of not attacking, so if you are trying to Farm, you have to either drop a Barb on some random bases to shed Trophies with this base, or temporarily switch to a Farming layout. I think it's easier and cheaper the long run to just shed Trophies, than it is to use a Farming base, sooner or later someone will give you a shield anyway. I have actually been working on a Farming version of this plan anyway though, but life and work keep getting in my way. :-P
Again, Thanks for the support, and the five stars, and taking the time to leave me a comment. Clash On!

Wired Fuzzy: I've been using your DEF base designs since TH3. I started playing earlier this fall, and found myself trying to gain fast early on, so I built all the builder huts eventually. Then I started farming at about TH5 (somewhat), and mostly always farmed at TH6. I still used your DEF bases at this time and they worked out pretty well for me, but I'm sure farming base would have been more appropriate. I'm TH7 now and had been using this base. I think it's a very good DEF base, so 5 stars. But unfortunately I've switch to farming base now, because that's what I should be (and should have been) using. Thanks so much for all your great DEF base designs. Now that we can save 3, I've got this 1 saved for my TH7 if needed. Anybody else like me (using DEF base layout but really should be using farming base), please take a look at

Hessoid - Hi, thanks for taking the time to comment! You are correct, the left side is easier to push, but I explained that already. What surprises me, is that you are getting 75% of the attacks from the left... that is exactly the opposite of what I have experienced in almost a year of using these TH7 bases. Not sure what caused the difference for you. I hope you are able to come up with something you like better! I will check your base as soon as I have some spare moments, and let you know what I think.

    Hi,
I see you made many many bases. really nice walkthrow the building strategy! It gives me a lot.
To that base: I have use it for a 10 days. i thing that the left side is pretty easy to push. So one star and than u can get easily second star. There is also one psychologic moment like u mention. Peopel are stupid and lead the attack from the corner where the base is most powerfull. But 75% attacks were from left side and that was bad :(
So i was looking for a good defense base and i wasn´t satisfied. I decidet to start creating my own bases.
I will be pleasured if you check my base also and leave me a comment. Thanks a lot. See you :-)

Optimator - :-D I know, that empty space just doesn't jump out at you, you're looking for an actual icon! I am sure Neggs will have one added by the start of the week. You will definitely want to make sure your walls are upgraded with the new update. I kind of dread the slew of comments I am going to get from the TH7 users now. I always had to explain to the TH8 guys why they were getting slaughtered as soon as they had any DE, now it's going to be the TH7 bases that get slammed as well. The problem is that anybody of TH9 level or higher, (and some TH8's), will do whatever it takes to get the DE, as they desperately need it for everything they use, and it's easiest to get from the lowest TH level that has any quantity... which is now TH7. If your DE is well buried in the center, unfortunately, it encourages high level attackers to destroy the whole base instead of just raiding for DE and stopping. I am afraid there are going to be a lot of disappointed players who don't understand why they can no longer win nearly as many defenses as they could before the update.
As for the hitpoint changes, the big negative is the Army Camps have been neutered, but since they were primarily taken out by ranged troops that can take them out without getting hit anyway, I am not sure that there is going to be a big difference. The camps will go down quicker, bu since most of the time defensive fire barely hit them until the camps were down anyway, there should be about the same damage done to attackers as before, once the camps go down. As I see it, the Archer Towers increased rate of fire will help even everything out in that regard. The other buildings hit point changes are going to take me a little more time to study, as I am still frantically trying to get the updates done to the necessary plans, so that people using them can at least know what to do with their new toy. I may move things around in the future after I see how things go.
As for my original design, I think unfortunately, the new update will make that one weaker, as it doesn't have the Archer Towers all centered on defending the Army Camps like this one does, so it may be getting a few things moved around as well... time will tell.
Thanks for taking the time to comment, and please check back in again!

It took me WAAAAYYY to long staring at the design plan to realize there was no DE DRILL icon, HAHA. Anyway I just passed over 1700 trophies and was looking where to place the DE drill, so thanks! I was about 40 walls short of done upgrading when they changed the game so it looks like I'll be holding in TH7 a bit longer while I finish those walls.

I noticed they changed the tower firing speed to help mitigate archer/barbarian swarms. Do you think the base will need to be revised to take that into account? Does it make your original base design better now?

    Cheers,

Fhghgu - Hey, thanks for asking! Honestly, you should switch Storages around in this, or pretty nearly any other plan, according to what you need to protect the most. In this plan, we are trying to bait people into attacking from that right side though, so keep something attractive like a Storage there next to the AD. Keep the Resources you need the most in the most protected spots for sure. I put the DE as bait, simply because most TH7's have very little of it to protect, and guys from TH8, and especially TH9 will attack for even a small amount of it. My idea was to con the higher level attackers into going for that DE/AD pair, where the most firepower is aimed at, and lose very little DE. If you have a lot of DE, you'll definitely need to swap it in farther, as the higher TH attackers will throw everything they have at you too get it.
I hope this helped, and thanks again for checking in!

simon_simpa - Thanks for coming back and letting me know your problem! This problem is kind of a different side of the same coin, as the comment just below this one.
This is primarily a defense base, which was originally a type of trophy base, although I've noticed that the term trophy base seems to be used less now days. Essentially, even though protecting resources is obviously important, the main purpose is focused on giving up as few trophies as possible, particularly when getting hit with attackers from TH's levels above you. I have made some compromises to help save resources more than a lot of designs do, as I mentioned in the previous comment. I will try and eyeball the plan for a while, and see what I can come up with. So far, my best suggestion would be as follows:
    1) Take the top Gold Storage out of the way for a moment.
    2) Move the Mortar that was right of it over to the left 3 clicks, so it's now where the Storage was.
4)Move everything that was under the Mortar in that compartment up 3 clicks.
    5) Put the Gold Storage you put aside back into the hole left in the bottom right corner of the center compartment.
This puts more Resources under the watch of the Wizard Tower and Tesla in the center, but it leaves the top Mortar out of reach of the Wizard Tower, which is definitely not an ideal situation. Make sure you put the type of resource Storage you need the least in the outer compartments, of course, and try to save for primarily one or the other resource at one time, instead of both, whenever possible.
You might want to consider doing the swap that simon_simpa did below, and exchange the Barracks for the Mines I have shown in the interior of the base. This change will help protect the interior better in a Barcher style attack. You really MUST be sure and collect your resources often if you do that though, as most attackers will take the Mines out, and they get a higher percentage of loot from them, than they do the Storages. If you try any of the changes, please be sure and let us know the results, OK? That kind of information is great to get, as I just don't have the time to try all the possible combinations out for a long enough time to be a valid test. Input from guys like you are extremely important to making this plan as good as we can get it, so please keep up the good work guys!

WillTheBig - Thanks for checking back in! Glad to hear everything is going good.
Your modification and reasoning behind it are both valid. The way you have it now would be the standard procedure for most trophy or defense bases. Unfortunately I learned early on that most people who use them expect to protect their resources as well, and putting the mines inside the base saves at least more of the resources a certain percentage of the time. I felt for most people using the base it was a more acceptable compromise. Your method will definitely help with trophy count, and might even help protect the Storages better in a largely Barcher attack. An attack with Giants or any other troop that goes for defenses first won't be slows down by the change of course, as they ignore everything but defenses until there are no more. With your setup, it is especially important to empty your mines and collectors often, as you know they are a give away in an attack. I would be curious to know if you think it saves more in the Storages from being raided, than it gives up in the higher loss percentage from the collectors and mines being raided.
Thanks again for all the great feedback, and let me know how it continues to do with the new arrangement.

after a few days back in your plan, i remember why i left it in the first place. i loose to much credits when i log off. a few times now i've been attacked 2-3 times, and lost atleast 100k each time. wich sucks bigtime. but on the upper hand, it's almost never more than 70%, and almost always only 1 star.
so that's a good thing for shure.

what would you do to protect your storages little bit better?

Hey Wired Fuzzy, me again. Just popping in again to say that even though my defenses are upgrading i am still gaining trophies off of this base. i have only lost 5 attacks with this base since my last comment (about 11 days ago) one slight change however that i have made to the base is that i have swapped the gold and elixr collectors on the interior of the base with the external barracks as the collectors have more hitpoints therefore meaning units will be distracted by them for longer. Anyway thanks for the base and keep on working. cant wait to try out your F.C. TH7 Base when it arrives. Thanks again, WillTheBig

Hey Fireline - (yes I am, Done and Done) Great to hear from someone else using my designs! I appreciate the kind words of support, thank you very much.
You are embarrassingly correct about my descriptions... they are atrocious. I have been cutting and pasting them together since I wrote the first one, trying to save time, and it shows, big time. I would like to have a guide explaining the basic principals of the plan for people using any of the bases to read, with a link to it in my description. (I need to ask WightSage if that's possible, now that I think about it.) Anyway, that would allow the description to have only the briefest introduction to the idea, a new visitor knows what the Pure Defense means, and the rest could pertain to the specific plan.
My problem is time, I owe admin a guide I promised a week ago, and I still have to try and make sure I do my Mod duties, as well as keeping up with folks on my pages, and working on several plans I've promised. Of course REAL work keep interfering as well. :-)
It is on my list of things to do though!

Hey Wired Fuzzy, I just would like to say how I LOVE your base designs even though I am not currently using one of yours at the moment but plan on using your Town Hall 8 bases once I reach there. Your bases are truly unique of how strategically you place your buildings to make room for the traps while other bases I've seen and used do not have that special thing that you always bring out. I've checked your TH7 and TH8 bases and they both have PERFECTLY placed air traps and strategically placed bombs every where. When I used this base but before this one came out (The original) you don't know HOW MANY people fell for that air defense on the right and just got their WHOLE army demolished by those traps right there. I can't say how much more happy I am with your bases and wish that you could possibly make some TH7 war bases and hybrid bases so that I don't have to stick with poorly trapped ones but a good core because I think that the traps actually are the MOST IMPORTANT thing in your base and how they are placed. Poorly placed ones can result in a bad loss. Something like yours will get something UNDER 30%. To wrap this up I would like to say keep up the hard work and dedication you put into making these bases and don't lose your confidence because you make the BEST bases I have ever seen. The next competitor is about a mile away!

EVERYONE - I wanted to let you know that I have gone live with the first base in my new "F.C. Defense Base" series. This base actually consists of 2 plans. They are:

"TH8 F.C. [D] Defense Base by Wired Fuzzy"
    And...

TH8 F.C. [F] Defense Base by Wired Fuzzy

    F.C. stands for "Farm Convertible"
**THIS IS BOTH A FARMING BASE AND A DEFENSE BASE IN ONE**
It is reconfigurable from a Farming Base to a Defense Base, and the switch between the two configurations requires only 11 steps, and about a minute to complete. The purpose of this series of Convertible bases is to have a base that can be a serious Defense base when you are holding or building a trophy count, yet still become a great base for farming and guarding resources with very little effort.

This base is presented on two different plan pages. There is a separate page for each of the two layouts, in order to make it easier to switch back and forth visually, instead of just a text description of the changes and differences between the two. The one with the [D] in the title is the Defense Configuration, and the one with the [F] in the title is the Farming Configuration.

Please check them out, leave me a comment, and give me a great rating on them! :-D
I hope everyone enjoys trying them out as much as I enjoyed designing them.

Patziiilla - Thank you so much for taking the time to stop in and report! I love it when people leave facts and numbers here for everyone to see. It sounds like it is definitely working right for you. I would like to get around to a Clan Wars version, but I never seem to get the chance. If you are looking for a good TH7 Clan Wars base I can strongly recommend "The Intimidator: The Best TH7 Clan War/Trophy Base" by Ohshapitznathan as a really good one.
Thanks again for your checking in with the kind words, and support!

I actually tried this plan. Averaged about 1100 trophies with th7 and most of my defenses upgraded to the max, cannons, archer towers and working on my second Mage tower. Walls on the outside not full but close and the middle is the same. I am now sitting around 1500, right now 1564. And have used this for the past week. I hardly ever get more than 2 stared. I'm winning DE and not even attacking. This is a wonderful trophy base. I use another for clan wars but this base is amazing. Great job!

will the big - Wow, thank you very much for the compliments, I really appreciate that! I always like to hear from the people using my bases, about how it's working out for them, so I really appreciate the report. Yeah, the Splash Defenses are the key to a strong defensive base, their placement is critical, and you kinda make the rest of the base fit around them. I really appreciate your kind words of support, and I hope we'll hear from you again here, and you'll keep us updated as to how it's working out for you. It's folks like yourself that report their successes with actual numbers that make this plan believable to those who just discovered it. And much as I appreciate you're saying so, nothing is perfect ;-), if you see things that aren't working right, or changes you think would improve it, bring it up here and we'll check it out. User input has always been one of the reasons these bases continue to do so well.
    Thanks again man,

Wired Fuzzy - Great Base!!! I gained 135 Trophies in only 2 Days. although some were people who realised like you said ' bit off more than they could chew' most were giant healer attacks by TH8 9s. Not one loss with this base aswell which is fantastic. Splash Defences work awesome with the setup, destroying most troops before they even reach the inner walls. As to improvements i dont think there is anything to improve as this base works perfectly. For weeks i have been searching for a perfect trophy base and i h=think i have found the one. Cheers for the awesome design!!

Pytch - I also left the parts of this comment that person to my TH6 v2.0 on that page, just so anyone following the comments can read it. I'll paste that post on here next, then I'll get to this layout.
Pytch - referring to your comments on the TH6 v2.0 page... For what it's worth, I also got the crap kicked out of me while I was waiting for the TH upgrade. I don't know of any other base that doesn't the same problem when you have that much resources on board. I will keep thinking about how to strengthen the right a little more, but so far I haven't had much luck. Unfortunately a high level guy can punch through to the TH in any TH6 base. I am taking your comments quite seriously though, and looking for ways to improve it, so Thank You for pointing them out. I'm not sure how to make the base look less intimidating to the lower level guys, without actually making it weaker, but that it's a valid point, you really don't get attacked on this by anyone near your level. I am noticing the same thing on the TH7 base I used to mock-up to only have these TH6 pieces in the base in order to try the plan, but I wasn't sure if it was because of my actual TH level.

OK, first, welcome to TH7! If you only have 3 Builders Huts, don't place the one in the bottom left corner as it is the least helpful as far as protection. I also added that to the description, so thank you for reminding me that not everyone has four Builders Huts!
As for a Farming base, I am currently working on mods to my TH8 design that will allow it be converted back and forth
from Defense to Farming. If that works out well, I will most likely come back and do it to all my bases starting with this one, and working my way down the TH levels. I'll post it here when I get it ready. Hope I have been of some help.
Thanks again for all your support!

Crimson Wonder - You da Man! Another user who helps with making things better, now were cookin! Thanks for letting me know you got my answer to your excellent suggestion, and yes, please do keep us updated. Like I said to arnixon below, good communication like this is the kind of thing that makes these bases work so well for so many people, as there is simply no substitute for experience with actually using a base plan. No matter how sure I am of a design, it ALWAYS has unforeseen weak spots, and changes that would improve it, and I just haven't become aware of them yet. I like to think I am a good base designer, but without good feedback from people like I have that respond on my pages,( not just with suggestions for what may not be working as well as it could, but also with confirmation in hard numbers and statistics of things that ARE working as they should), I simply COULD NOT produce as good of a product. Period.
So, Thanks Again, and keep up the good works!

arnixon - Great Comment! I am ALWAYS interested in changes users try, and how it works out. Sometimes I make the changes permanent, and other times I disagree, but I always like to hear what people are trying.
In your case, it seems like a totally logical switch as long as it's working for you better than the original way. I had the Canon where it was to get coverage for that corner from Archer attacks on that corner collector, and in your new position, it's possible to take it out with Archers without them being hit. Having said that, I would very much like to see that Giant Bomb over against the wall where you put it, and the time it takes Archers to take out that collector may be just as valuable in the long run, as the shots you can get off on them the old way.
SEE FOLKS... THIS IS WHY THIS BASE GETS BETTER and BETTER.
It's the input from people USING the base that makes ALL the difference in how well it works for EVERYBODY!
PLEASE, arnixon, (and anyone else who tries his mod), try it for say a half dozen attacks in that area, watch your replays, and come back and let us know if ON AVERAGE, that is, more times than not, the new position(s) do more good in your defense than the old ones. Be sure and keep track of how effective the Giant Bomb is in the new area as well,... does it get tripped more than it did, and if so, did it do a decent amount of damage, or was it wasted on say, a single Barbarian or something.
If it seems like it's a better idea, and I'm thinking it just may be, we'll make the change permanent, blame/credit arnixon :-), and call everyone's attention to it, so that they can make the change as well.
Again, dude, keep up the good work, this is exactly the kind of thing we need.

Optimator - That is excellent. I recommend keeping your Army Camps and Barracks maxed for exactly that reason! This game is really based on the powerful preying on the weak, so you want to look as dangerous as you can when they are scoping out your base. I also like to have at least 4 Lvl 2 Dragons and some Healers flying around in mine... they seem to put fear into at least the attackers that are anywhere near my own level.
That looks like about a 160 trophy gain in the last week if I am reading your comments correctly from the other page, and that's not bad. Thanks so much for the update, glad to hear this version is working out for you OK, and I look forward to hearing from you again.

Up to 1660 trophies. Still working on a lot of things, walls to L7, defense upgrades, and don't have teslas yet. One thing I would say may have helped is, I packed my army camps full of troops. I am talking about 140 archers, and the rest a random assortment to fill cap. Have seen so many "non-attacks" lately. Like 6-7. I think the fear of revenge is working in my favor.

Crimson Wonder - I forgot to mention, from your last post, about that single 3 star loss you had. You're absolutely right, nothing in a TH7 is gonna withstand that kind of hit, someone who is probably many levels above you just wanted you bad enough to spend a fortune to get you. It happens. Someone else will wimp out and just drop a Barb on you to make up for it. ;)

    EVERYONE - *** Slight Plan Change effective 10/30/14 ***
Many Thanks and Props go out to Crimson Wonder for the idea behind this change. ( You can read his comment two below this, and my answer just above that, for more info on the reasoning behind this change.)
    * This change is specifically done to help with a larger Giant attack coming from the left hand (Barracks) side, and on to the TH through that outer left hand compartment. *
CHANGES ARE AS FOLLOWS, (and are now shown on the plan in their new position).
    1) Move the left top Archer Tower up 1 click, to put a space between that Archer Tower, and the Gold Mine just beneath it.
    2) Move the Spring Trap that was between the TH and the top Tesla, over between the Archer Tower and the Gold Mine, in the center of the space you created in step one.
    3) Move the bottom Tesla to the left one click.
    You're done!
As I said, the reasoning behind the change can be found in the next two comments down.
THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE for your support. With everyone's help, this plan just gets better!

Crimson Wonder - Thanks, that is EXACTLY the kind of info I am looking for, numbers, reasons, and even suggestions... PERFECT!
Crimson Wonder, I LIKE the way you think, and I LIKE your tweak... with a re-tweak, sort of. I am moving the bottom Tesla to the left 1 click, as you suggested, because I see no good reason not to, you don't give up any significant extra coverage to anything except POSSIBLY the Mortar to the right of it. I think the Tesla MIGHT even still be able to reach an reach an attacker hitting that wall to the right of the Mortar with a brute force attack, even in it's new position, and you definitely gain more coverage for the majority of the TH that way. The top Tesla, however, I really think needs to be able to hit an attacker using a brute force attack on the wall to the right of that oh-so important Wizard Tower to the right of the top Tesla. When I move the top Tesla over to the left that one click, the coverage will definitely NOT cover an attacker at that wall to the right of the Wizard Tower, until AFTER they have broken through the wall, and by then it's probably too late to save the Wizard Tower.
Since that Spring trap you moved hasn't had an overwhelming affect on any battle outcomes while watching my replays, you have inspired me to move it, as well. In the location you chose, it would only be tripped if the Giants come in from that left hand compartment ABOVE the TH, so it depends where they break through at, as to if they trip the Spring Trap. I think that Trap might be better served in the compartment to the left of the TH, between the Mine and the Archer Tower, which only requires moving the Archer Tower up one click. My thinking is that, as in your case, should Giants get into that compartment, no matter which end they come in on, top or bottom, their AI will REQUIRE them to take out the other defense in the SAME compartment before advancing on the next closest defense in another compartment. By putting that Spring Trap in between the two defenses in that section, any Giants walking from one defense to the other, no matter which end they come in from, will most likely trip the Spring Trap, eliminating at least some of the attacking force BEFORE they get through the wall to the TH. If I have overlooked something that might change my mind about that top Tesla, let me know, but for now, I think the odds say save that Wizard Tower, it gets hit more often. If you watch your replays though, and you think you are getting more use out of that top Tesla where you have it, let me know, and I will re-evaluate my reasoning.
Again, many thanks for the great comments and suggestions, I really appreciate that kind of help and support. Keep up the good work!

Wired - I have gained 169 trophies in 7 days with the two plans. I still raid a fair amount to get loot for upgrades because while I'm cheap and don't want to buy gems, I don't want my builders to be sleeping given the time it takes to upgrade at this level. I say that because I have lost some trophies in my raiding. Currently at 1343. I try to achieve at least one star when I raid for loot but it doesn't always work. So it probably washes. 1404 is the highest I've been so far.

In 23 attacks on my base, I've had 8 (1 star), 1 (2 star), and 1 (3 star) loses. The odds are certainly working in my favor as I see it. I'd be glad to post more info if you just tell me what data you are looking for. Certainly willing to help improve a base design that I'm using.

I have made one tweak to the layout to be honest. Not sure how much it has or hasn't helped. I had a 1 star lose that only got my TH. The attacker was able to take out all the defenses on the left side and take the TH with 10 gaints and the BK. The BK took the TH while being just out of reach of the two teslas. So I moved the spring trap to the top side of the TH and moved both teslas to the left one click. I also have five builders so I put one in the far corner to help with any 3 stars loses. Unfortunately it didn't work for the one 3 star lose I've had.

About that lose. I was hit with 10 hogs (lvl 2), barb king (lvl5), 22 wizards (lvl 5), 4 healers (lvl 3), 2 heal spells (lvl 4), and a rage spell (lvl 1). I'm not sure anything I had was going to stop that. I can't watch the replay anymore to tell you where the attack was deployed.

Anyway, long post, thanks for the base design and let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I'll post updates occasionally as I get attacked to let you know how the odds are playing out.

    NO BK...NO PROBLEM!!!
If you do not yet have the big BK, here are the changes to make to use this plan without him. (But you should try and get one as soon as you can afford it, it's a huge help in defense.)

    OPTION A:
1st) Move the bottom AD up to where I show the BK in the plan.
2nd) Move the Archer Tower that was just below that, up to where the AD was.
3rd) Move the Canon that was to the right of the Archer Tower to the left ONE click.
    Your Done!
note; Don't move the Canon more than 1 click to the left, or you lose it's ability to cover the bottom Wizard Tower in case of that being attacked from below, which is a pretty common occurrence.

    OPTION B:
1st) Move the bottom AD up to where I show the BK in the plan.
2nd) Move the bottom Gold Mine into the space vacated by the AD.
3rd) Move the Spell factory over to where that bottom Gold Mine just was.
4th) Move the bottom standard Barracks down 3 clicks.
5th) Move the next Barracks up down 2 clicks.
6th) Move the next Barracks up down 1 click.
    Your Done!

I prefer Option A, as it adds another space that could be hiding a Tesla or Giant Bomb, for all the attacker can tell, and keeps better coverage on the left hand side of the bases outer wall. Both will work however, so try em both if you want, and see what you prefer. (If you find one Option that seems much preferable to you, please come back and let us know, and why... it would be great info for everyone to know who doesn't have a BK yet.)
Either way, In exchange for not having the BK, you get a better protected AD, which is always a good thing!

barbarian69 - Good to hear from you again! This is better for a specific type of attack, namely the Mass Barbarian, Mass Archer, or combination of both type of attacks (Barcher). It remains to be seen if it is better on higher level troop attacks. I think it MAY be slightly more vulnerable than the original design to the higher level troop attacks, but it also MAY NOT be. As I explained below a couple, I have not been able to get a chance to do a direct comparison between the two myself yet, so I am completely relying on feedback from folks such as yourself, who have used both designs. hopefully I will be able to get my own feel for it in a couple of days, when I am done fiddling around with my TH7-TH6 base, and can set them both up as TH7's at the same time. THANK YOU for bringing up the no BK thing. I don't know what my problem is with spacing that... especially when I haven't bought one for either of my own two TH7's yet. I will get them as soon as the bases are laid out however, because even though I am a cheap S.O.B. by nature, they're sooo worth it. I will give directions for that mod in my next comment, and post it in the description as well, so again, thanks for rattling my cage!

Crimson Wonder - Thanks for letting me know you too are over here now! I would like to ask the same thing of you as I did from Optimator below... any input of good/bad on this plan versus the other plan would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for recommending my plans to your friends, I know that's always risky, because of all the crap you get if they try it and something doesn't go right, so again, a big THANK YOU for doing that! It's always hard to tell how much effect the upgrading has on attacks, other than that it's never a good thing to be upgrading while being attacked. :) If you are being attacked by higher TH levels than yourself, and you should be, even 50/50 will gain trophies, as they get less trophies when you lose, and you gain more trophies when you win, due to the TH level difference.

Optimator - I saw your comment on the other page, glad to see you over here now! Since you have been using the original, I will be especially curious to hear your opinion of the two plans in comparison to each other. I have been trying to get my two TH7 Villages evened out with each other in upgrades, so I can lay one out each way for comparison. Unfortunately, I had to re-arrange one of them into a TH6 layout, with all my TH7 stuff stuck in a corner, so I could test out the mods to my TH6 v2.0 design. So, I still haven't been able top get a clean comparison myself. Any input of good/bad on this plan versus the other plan would be greatly appreciated!

I was loving version 1 of this plan. Just swapped to this one. Gained 69 trophies from attacks on my base. And that was with some defensive upgrades in progress. All but one of my losses was due to 50% giving them a star. Somewhat hard to know if that was because of my defense upgrades. Either way, that being the case, I figured I would flop over to this plan and give it a try. I have all defenses built including teslas and barb king. Didn't get barb king until two days after I started using version 1. Also, ONLY one attack was a 2 star and NO 3 stars. So I'm very impressed and have recommended this and other plans by Wired Fuzzy to some friends. Win/Loss at this point is about 50%. Hopefully version 2 will improve that.

Exilrot - I understand your concern, I would love to protect all my Storages to the max, but the game is purposely designed to force you to make some choices. You have to protect your defenses, or they don't last long enough to do you any good, and there isn't enough walls to separate everything from everything else. If you make a big center, and put all your Storages in it, then surround it with walls and defenses, that will work against most low level troops. When you start to get hit with high level troops though, they just punch their way to the center, and take everything you have at once, since it's all conveniently in one place for them. So, it's a trade off... "you pay your money, and you take your chances" as the saying goes. If your current base is working fine for you, why change it? If it isn't broke, don't fix it!
Thanks for taking the time to look at my plan and comment, I appreciate it.

EVERYONE - Just so that everyone is aware, I will/may soon be switching the two TH7 Pure Defense Base by Wired Fuzzy layouts soon. That is, switch them so that the v2.0 is on the original page (plan# 394717), and the original is on the v2.0 page (plan# 572396).
I think, in the long run, MOST people might do a tiny bit better with v2.0, as the Barcher attacks seem to be getting more common. This way, if I switch them, (and correct the descriptions of course), I may be able to get the people who are looking for the "most used" bases directed towards the 2.0 base, and since their ratings are nearly equal most of the time, it won't effect anyone else, unless they have it bookmarked. I will make sure I label them both as changed very obviously for those folks who have it bookmarked, so they can switch. I don't want to get rid of the original plan, as I still have a lot of people using it happily, and it is still an excellent base, particularly for higher level troop attacks.
If anyone has any thoughts on this, I am always happy to hear them.
If I do this, it will happen when I have a bit more free time, (what a joke I know), along with posting the revised TH6 v2.0 base. THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE FOR YOUR TERRIFIC SUPPORT, and I hope to hear from you, whatever base you end up on!

King Ozzy - WOW, I am really sorry to hear you feel that way. I have had so many success stories with my TH7 layouts in particular, that I wonder what could have gone wrong. You are absolutely correct about encouraging people to attack from that corner, where their movement is limited by the edges of the map. That should work out to your distinct advantage if the plan is laid out, and placed correctly, with at least level 6 defenses. It still works with much lower defenses as well, just gains trophies slower until you're caught up. You should keep whatever resource you need the least in that right hand Storage, of course, as it is more exposed. Still, this base should take you up to Gold I or Crystal III with absolutely no intervention on your part other than resetting traps and bombs when necessary... it has for three bases I have run through it, and I have 2 more just starting out in it, just now getting upgraded enough in walls, and ready to be laid out to the 2 plans. I will keep people posted on how they do.
As for your results, I assure you they are not typical, and there are many comments on both this and the original base to attest to that. Perhaps if I knew more details, like is the plan laid out exact, and in the exact location shown? Also, how far along are your defenses? There has to be some reason it is not working for you as it has pretty much worked for everyone else who has stuck with it. If I can be of any help at all, please don't hesitate to ask, I don't like to leave people unhappy.
I still would like to thank you for trying my base, and I hope you end up with one that rocks for you from someone else, if you choose not to use mine.

Sorry but this base is horrible. It encourages anyone to attack because the elixir storage is so close to the edge. I've never been pwned more than with this base in 24 hours. Big fail IMO.

Bluesammy - Hi, Thanks for checking in! Always good to hear from someone using my bases. As for your question, unfortunately, no. This site is not affiliated with the actual game site, so no interaction. On the plus side, of you have a copy of the plan to look at while you're editing, either on a printed copy, or another screen, you can build an entire village from scratch in under 5 minutes. The changes between my original and this one shouldn't take more than maybe 2 minutes tops.
    Thanks again, hope this helps.

    OK EVERYONE...
The TH8 Pure Defense Base by Wired Fuzzy has gone live!
Please check it out, and if you like it, I would greatly appreciate it if you could go ahead and give it a high rating, so that the "rating rats" don't get to it first, and one star it into oblivion before any actual users get to see it. Besides, you can always come back later and drop your rating if you hate it.
Thanks to everyone for all your support, and when you need a TH8 base I hope you give it a try.

By the way, the new, and I would wager, much improved version of my TH8 will be live any minute now, hope it works better for you than the last version. Many many thanks again for all your help on this, it was above and beyond the call.

@Wired Fuzzy This is a great base layout. I was having problems with people raiding me way too much and base layout after base layout I stumbled across this one. I tried it and I have been attacked only a few times and survived all attacks. Once my shield runs out, I hardly never get attacked. This base is now one of the best bases ever. 5 stars bro ^_^

Awesome! Almost immediately after I re arranged my base to this layout of COURSE I was attacked by the "Barcher" and MY DEFENCES WON!! I was hit by both lvl 4 archs and barbs and they only got 38% now this is based off of one attack but hey I got immediate results and I like it so far, thanks again Wired Fuzzy

Hack and Slash - Man, that was fast! What, were you sitting there waiting for it to go up? :) Again, like before, thanks for the vote of confidence and the kind words. I appreciate your giving me a good rating before you even tried it. Please DO try it, and come back and let me know what you think. I am going to be relying heavily on reports from people who try it out to determine if I am on the right track. I will have one base finished it's upgrade to TH7 in about 4 days now, and another that's only been TH7 for a little while now. I am trying to get them both even as far as upgrades, so I can compare the two designs side by side so to speak. Until then, I need feedback from anyone who actually tried it please.
Again, as usual, you've been great with your support, Thanks again, and Clash On!

OK, here it is By POPULAR DEMAND. My famous "TH7 Pure Defense Base by Wired Fuzzy" tweaked to help defend against specific attacks, namely those that consist of spammed low level ground troops, such as the famous "Barcher" type attacks. Please read the small (for me) description above so that you understand that there are some trade offs with this design versus my original.
As always, if you use this base, PLEASE come back and leave me feedback as to how it's working for you... that's the only way I know if it's helping anyone, or if it isn't quite "there" yet. If you like it, Please give me a five star rating, so it doesn't get buried on page 50 cause it got it's first 3 ratings from low life types 1 staring everyone's bases above theirs.
Thanks again for all my loyal followers, and CLASH ON!

NOTE to ALL, just so there is no further confusion, I have this base laid out so that the bottom right corner on this plan coincides with the bottom point or corner on the Clash of Clans screen. When I refer to or show something as the "bottom right corner" here, I mean the bottom corner on the game, and conversely if I show something in or talk about the "top left corner" for example, I mean the top corner or point on the game screen.
