Been using this for 3-4 months now, and it's holding up great.  9 out of 10 times I get a TH snipe, and when someone actually does come in to wreck me for resources, I have so much saved up it really doesn't bother me.  Not much you can do against TH9 attackers anyways, so no reason to even get mad about it.

 

If you're smart about prepairing to go to TH9 with everything mostly upgraded, this is the base to do it with.  Since trophy pushing is kind of a thing of the past, I never use my trophy base anyways, and I have no desire to show off that I made it to Crystal or higher.  I can wait on that achievement till next TH.  

 

Oh, and I haven't tweaked a single thing from the design, I know that doesn't make me original by any means, but who cares, people make these bases and put them on here to help people out, and I greatly appreciate that.

This is a solid base by any measure. 1) The symmetrical design eliminates major weak areas. 2) The base is theoretically consistent with farming, protecting storage without any concern for trophies. Some bases that guard the TH with hidden teslas, for example, waste defense structures that should be protecting resources. 3) Splash defenses and CC are properly centralized and divided into quadrants to protect valuable structures and to minimize luring. 4) Great use of layers for walls to make it difficult to access the center. I tried to determine how to do this my self, and this base has every good idea covered.

The only real change I made was swapping the barracks inside the base with the second DE drill.

As for those complaining about lvl 6 troops and those with TH9 destroying you, no base design will fully defend you against a much stronger competitor. A fully loaded TH9 army will massacre any TH8 base. I raid weaker TH bases with ease, regardless of how well designed they are. The best way to minimize this is to upgrade your walls to purple (level 7) and maximize air defenses to make your base APPEAR less desirable.

Great Base

After using this plan for a week, i am disapointed
I lost a lot of DE, I sometimes lost 1000DE by a Barbarian/Archer(Both lvl 5...) attack and even with my clan castle full of wizards and archers
I am around 1600 trophies, almost maxed defenses and lvl7 walls and i can say it does not resist to any TH9 with some lvl6 troops unfortunately

evanjunius, just put the drill at one of the gold mines place inside the base

if the attacker only snipes ur town hall he wont be able to get to it easily, otherwise if he is going for your ressources, there is no way the drill will survive lol
one at the center is enough

Hey guys here is my review of this base :
please take note that i'm a recent TH8 with maxed TH7 defenses, therefore the following defenses should have been even better with a maxed version of this base

i insist as well on the fact that i had the two mortars at the top upgrading, one to level 5 and the other to level6, the remaining on the bottom being level5 (maxed TH7 defenses as i said) and also, that i only have 4 storages maxed out out of 6, the other 2 are only level 6 and barely hold any ressources

first defense (won) :
TH8 attacked from the left side with BK 8, 12 giants 5, heal spell 4, and archers/barbarians 5
was only able to take one gold storage and one elixir storage, gave up at 43%

loot available : 150k gold, 300k elixir, 1000 DE
loot taken : 80k gold, 150k elixir


second defense (lost, but as a farming base this is normal lol) :
i recently rushed up to master league, and went down to gold 3 after succeeding
of course, i get several revenges from those pussies TH10
this is the first defense against them that i considered "won"

he attacked from the bottom, 18 giants 6, and barch gobelins wallbreakers 6, rage spell 5
without his heroes
was able to get to two elixir storages (one being low level so easy to destroy), one gold storage, and the dark elixir storage (63%, 2 stars)
loot available : 200k each, 500 DE
loot taken : 100k each, 500 DE




therefore i consider this base as the best i tried so far, and i tried many trust me
i would rate 5/5, since it defends well even at early TH8 !

probably one of the best th8 base. I even stick to it for quite a while after upgraded to th9 when the new defense buildings were still weak. I used a modified version for war and it was just as good. My current new base are as attached, please take a look and do comment. thanks

I love the merry go round idea at the top with giant bombs is totally kills giants which is why i win a lot. People in crystal like the 8 gait storage, but it does not work on this base unless they have high level heroes

Im not kidding when i say that this is simply the best farming base you can get at town hall 8. I use it and very rarely do i even get 2 starred in crystal. Thanks for this unbeatable plan

I kid you not when I say that I got two starred by a TH6. This base was good at first, but now I am getting my resources stolen way too often. I lose about 300K plus total per attack.

I love it. To me, it's best quality is beeing adaptative. What I mean is, as each one knows, when you finally achieve a plan, with everything top leveled, well then you step up to further level ! But this one allows you to manage leveling buildings, walls, defenses and empty/filled storages... Only get 1/3 of my ressources taken, unless attacked by strong THL 9 or 10, and then it's not worthy for them, according to the amount of troops then have to invest. Great job.

I just finished using that base for a while. Worked real good, but am having trouble over 1400 trophies. Once I go over that, no one takes my th bait and they all seem to hit my resources and I end up losing over 150k gold each hit.

this is a really good base!! i used it to protect my 6 mil gold and elixir, and 40k de for a few days. before i used this base, people raided my base and stole 200k-300k gold and elixir, and 1800-2000 de. after i used this base, raiders were only able to take 10k-100k gold and elixir and no de, or some de with lightning. i recently upgraded to th9, and am still using this base.

also i switched the de storage with the cc, which helped to protect the de

If you want to lose dark elixir, go with this layout. Even as a completely maxed out TH8, this base is easily flattened with a combo of high level heroes, giants, barbs or archers, and healers. They break through one wall and archers can easily decimate your DE storage.

Great base! used it for quite some time. never got 100% and rarely ever got 2 starred. Moving on to the next base! keep up the good work!

Been using this plan for about a month now and I can attest to its awesomeness. I literally have only lost more than 150K of gold/elixir about 5 times in a month. One thing to mention, get to dark purple walls as soon as you can because I think it intimidates players without them even looking at your defenses. Works like a charm with dark purple walls.

I have to agree with Hydrolic03, this base looks good, but I have been destroyed multiple times.

I have this base now for a wile and i can say this base is great. Only level 6 troops come in the base and the max damage go's not over 63% and three stocks.

Excellent design, I've made a revamped version what makes the sides a bit less fragile and overall bigger so the castle can't be lured out. people who are interested take a look.

I've used this plan for about a month now and it hasn't been working for me at Silver 1. 90% of the time attackers will raid from the top right side where the dark elixir drill/ two builder huts are at. They get rid of outer defenses and there is only splash in the center. This means that high dps defensive buildings can't reach archer queen/ barb king /pekkas etc. They take all the storages and then end the battle. This has happened to me numerous times.

So this is supposed to work better huh... time to switch! :P Also, awesome bases eliteplayer :)

Hey eliteplayer, I was just wondering does this work better or your Circle of Death TH8 base work better? I'm currently using your Circle of Death and its working pretty well, but just curious which one do you guys prefer?

Been raided by 11 lvl 2 Dragons and BK lvl 4, got 100k Gold and few thousand EX from Collectors and only 300DE (I had roughly 14k DE in storage) Not too bad. Also had one of my AD's upgrading to lvl 6.

I have moved a few traps around to my liking and now its been only TH Sniped, but i constantly raid so never have shield :P

The two attacks were:
1) 27 Hog Riders
4 Dragons
Barbarian King
3 Heal Spells
He took 1 star from the TH and 1989 of DE

2) 18 Giants
3 Healers
8 Wallbrakers
24 Barbarians
48 Archers
2 Lighting Spells
1 Heal Spell
He took 0 stars but he took 1800 of DE

this base is amazing. protected 300k available recources of each when i had no builders. Also your dark elixer is never touched unless they use lightning spells

yeah im sorry Elite player this base is actually amazing im sorry for saying that it wasnt the reason why i was losing so much was because i had alot of my major defenses upgrading to the max level for town hall 8 and so i was just losing alot more than i shouldve cuz i had like my teslas and air def were all upgrading pretty much excepr for like 1 air def so yeah but otherwise this is an amzing plan im sorry for ever saying different

Hey buddy, I've been in love with this base since day one, until recently. Let me explain, the past few attacks from people have been 2-Stars or higher. They have used either the GoWiWi or the Giant-Healer strategy and have taken me for a ton of my resources. My Town Hall is completely maxed, besides my walls (Level 7 right now) and it doesn't make sense. Normally they would only grab my Town Hall and run, but I guess people have gotten more ballsy and wanted to attack. Any suggestions my friend?

I've been using this plan for about a week now, and I've been attacked several times, mostly just my Town Hall. The few times I was all out attacked was by TH10's (View them to see their base and if I would even try and revenge). I've never been more then 1 starred. The TH10 attacked me from about 10 o'clock position ignoring my TH. He didn't even get past the second layer of defenses. Waste at least 160k between troops and potions and got 50k Elixir from me, I had almost 3 million of each resource at the time he attacked me. I love this base so far and has help up against very high level opponents.

this base protects really well against town hall 8s but when it comes to town hall 9s this base just can't hold up i have pretty much all max defenses except for hidden teslas which are level 4 air defense upgrading to level 6 and archer tower at lvl 9 and all lvl 7 walls but this base can just not hold up to town hall 9s all of my previous 6 attacks have been by town hall 9s and i have really close to full resources right now so for them i have 300k available loot (because all my builders are busy and so i have nothing to spend it on) and so when they attack me with GOWIPE they take pretty much all my loot except for maybe one storage and when they do giant healer wiz they get 2 out of 3 storages so in my opinion as long as you don't have a lot of loot and you won't appeal to town hall 9s your good but if you do then your completely screwed but anyways now i have changed plans and so if anyone would like to see it i will create it and post it on my profile i made it myself it holds up pretty damn well
