First of all, THANK YOU for your plans and the time you spent on it, I'm using them since the beggining and they are really great ! But I have some troubles with this site because I can't view your explanation in the "Info" box in its entierty : I don't know if there's something wrong with my browser, but I only see bits of your very long text and it's quite annoying because it really interests me ! So if you can copy/past it in the comment section (or somewhere else) it would be REALLY great ! :)

I made this account on my phone just to comment here. I've used all your plans since th1 and so far they have worked well for my casual game play. As soon as th5 came along I got all my buildings and walls setup to use this base of yours and I am sad to say I have been fairly disappointed with how it performs. I don't know the problem to pinpoint but my history right now is about 20 defeats long :/ I have every  defensive structure and wall and everything else fully upgraded,  waiting days for the th6 I just was hoping to get some feedback for this or something...I hope th6 works out better I do nothing but lose with this one

Erothix - Hey there! Thanks for getting back to me. Yeah, unfortunately once your bombs and/or site mines have been triggered it diminishes the effectiveness of the base somewhat. I wish the traps and bombs only needed to be reset every 3 triggers like some other games, but that's not how they do it on CoC. Also, it's worth mentioning that when a higher level player who fancies themselves to be good at raiding, sees a base with a boatload of gravestones around it from previous failed attempts, it's a challenge to try and take it, even if the resources they stand to gain do not warrant it for their level in the game. By the fifth time you got hit, anyone who came across it went one of two ways, either they figure if it's that hard to take, look for an easier target, or, Oh yeah, I gotta try and take this one if it's that though. One of the little idiosyncrasies of the game psychology.
Thanks for letting me know how you found me. We have just started a new Promote Your Plan Forum, and it hasn't had time to catch on yet. I was the first one to post my stuff on there, and I'm waiting to see how long it takes for someone to mention they got to me from there.
REALLY appreciate the five stars man, keeping in the first couple of pages is tough with all the new plans coming in, and some rating system problems with a few users who are not so scrupulous.
My TH6 plan is available in two versions, the original one, and a v2.0 which was designed to resist Barcher attacks. The original is a "Ghost" base, it ONLY appears on my My Plans page which you get to by clicking on my name in the Badge at the left. It does not appear on ANY of the ratings pages, or anywhere else for that matter. I recommend starting out with the original, and then switching to the v2.0 after you are around half way or more upgraded, or if you start getting killed by Barcher attacks, although I think that trend is staring to fade again a little bit. The reason for the switch from one to the other, ironically, is that the v2.0 is actually so intimidating to TH6 attackers that you get hit by pretty much ONLY TH7 and higher level attackers, and it needs to have most of the defenses upgraded to hold out against that strong of an attack. I have toyed with the idea of trying to actually make it look easier, but I haven't been able to visualize anything I think would work without compromising it's strength.
My TH7 layouts ROCK! They are definitely the cream of the crop. I am using a TH7v2.0 on one of my accounts right now that is less than 50 trophies away from Crystal League (450 free gems), with the only attacking it's done having been to skim Mines and Collectors on revenge raids, which actually lost me trophies.
I am actually excited for you, this level, and the next two, are my absolute favorite levels of the game.
Thanks again, have fun, and Clash On!

Hello again, Fuzzy! When I woke up this morning and open CoC, I was kind of disappointed to see that my base was invaded and 100% destroyed :(. BUT, when i read through the defence log, I saw that I had succesfully defended against 4 attacks, and only lost to 1! An 80% defence rate, that is quite impressive, and I will definitely be using this base.

To answer your question in your last comment: I found you by searching through the top th 5 base strategies, and eventually I came across yours, and well the thorough description and overall positive comments made me try it.

Gave you a 5-star rating, looking forward to trying your th6 and 7 defences aswell! Clash on :).

Erothix - HI! Welcome aboard the Pure Defense train, You're gonna love it. I really appreciate the vote of confidence, and the explanation as to why, that was great, Thank You! I really hate the guys who can't stand constructive criticism, it's not helpful to anyone. Sometimes the criticism is just uninformed, and you can explain yourself, sometimes it's just malicious, and you ignore those, or have a Moderator remove it if it's completely non-constructive AND abusive. And sometimes, once in a while, (I test my bases pretty thoroughly first), someone comes up with a new problem, or better yet, a new problem WITH a solution, (I really love those), and you make the necessary changes. You would be foolish not to, the game changes over time, not just "physically" with updates that add new items etc., but also psychologically, as different attack strategies trend at different levels. For example, the latest trend was "Barcher" attacks, (Barbarians and/or Archers in mass), which prompted me to create a couple of new bases on a couple levels to compensate. Anyone who doesn't keep up with their feedback is simply not doing the best job they can for the people using their plans. I have some issues that occasionally keep me out of commission for a few days, but my typical response time is 24 hours or less.
I am pleased you are starting out with my TH5 base, as that is one of my particular favorites, and I always have fun when I use it. You sound like an intelligent considered and thoughtful person yourself, and I look forward to hearing back from you on how you like the plan. I guess I don't need to tell you to feel free to contact me, and I sincerely hope you enjoy the plan, and be sure and give me high ratings whenever you can if you like them, it's really hard to stay up in the ratings these days. In fact, I would really like to know how you found me, so if you get the chance, drop me a comment and let me know, OK?
    Thanks again, and Clash On!

Hello! Considering your high cred count, level 6 rank and "Site Manager" position, but primarily your personality, you seem like the kind of person who knows what you're talking about, and if someone was to point out a fatal flaw, you would thank them and improve the base, rather than just yelling "WELL TRY AND TO BETTERYOURSELF!". So due to those facts, I will be trying this base, as I have a strong feeling it will work perfectly. Clash on! ;)

richyrw - That is indeed the quickest route to the TH, but it IS pretty well covered with defenses, including the Wizard Tower, which is your best defense against Giants (or any heavy troop) at this level of the game. I tried to keep the WT in the center because it is such an important defense, and at that point, you need your Storages and TH placed as close to it as possible. After a great deal of experimenting, I found this layout worked the best, the most number of times, and playing the odds is what this plan is about. Hope that explains my thinking! Thanks for commenting, and Clash On!

I have been using this strategy lately and I have been seeing pretty good results. I would say every 1 out of 4 people that attack me actually win and that is only because some people are attacking me with over-powered troops or troops that are beyond my level. I have been searching the internet for other defense strategies and I haven't found one as good as this one. Keep up the good work and I would like to thank you for the time you put into this strategy for other people to use.

Having fairly good success with your level 3 and 4 bases, I decided to try out this level 5 one as well. The last few weeks my trophy count has been around 900-1100, and most of the attackers that went for this base had to choose: trophies or resources. The TH is not neccessarily hard to get to at the edge, but attacking from the northeastern corner doesn't grant many resources. Attacking from the south gives better chances for the resources, but the various pockets in the base usually mean an attack runs out of steam before it hits the TH.

I can't compare it to other bases as this is the only one I've used as TH5, but I easily held onto my trophy count (even had to get some intentional losses to be able to keep raiding) so I'm going to give it a solid thumbs up :). Onwards to TH6!

And, as always, please give me a 5 star rating if you haven't already, (you can always lower it later if you hate it), to keep the "rating rats" from chewing away at it with 1 star ratings to raise the ratings on their own bases, until it gets buried on page 50, and no one who could use it ever gets to see it.

NOTE to ALL, just so there is no further confusion, I have this base laid out so that the bottom right corner on this plan coincides with the bottom point or corner on the Clash of Clans screen. When I refer to or show something as the "bottom right corner" here, I mean the bottom corner on the game, and conversely if I show something in or talk about the "top left corner" for example, I mean the top corner or point on the game screen.

This base has been used by me personally for 3 different villages so far, and has proven itself to be unbelievably tough to take down. When using the no-attack strategy this should take you into TH6 with around 7-800 trophies at least. If you attack as well, your trophy count can be a bit higher, or much lower depending on how good you are at raiding, and how carefully you choose your villages to raid... if you attack someone several levels above you, expect revenge on a grand scale! Better to attack lower level villages if you must attack, but remember, attacking is not necessary with this plan.
Try it, you'll like it! And I give great support, so if you have any questions, please ask.
