Hey I used this design for a while. And I noticed the DE is taken away almost every attack. I know you keep saying that that's normal and all, but I really don't have that on the other designs I use. Most of them are farming, so that might be normal, though. But I thought maybe it would help if you would switch the DE storage with the bottom gold storage. Because giant healer attacks will need to run longer without a healer (because air defence close by will stay active longer) and hopefully therefore have a lesser chance of taking the the DE. But that's just a thought, really.

Also I have a new plan online. The Titanic. I'd really love it if you'd take a look at it. I understand you're busy though, so if you do it, I'll understand it might take a while before you will. But that's not a dealbreaker, take your time.

Just got attacked by a th9. He used 16, level 5 giants. 10, level 5 wall breakers. A level 6 barbarian king. 35, level 5 barbarians. 36, level 5 goblins, 1, level 3 healer, cc troops, 1, level 3 rage spell and one, level 4 healing spell. He did 66% damage to me, but he did take all of my DE.

I have hope for this base in defending my DE against th7 or 8.

I have used this layout with good success util the TH7 started getting DE. TH8 and higher have just too much firepower for this to hold up, and you mentioned that as well. All in all it is a good plan I thik, and easily mod'ed to farming when needed. Thanks for publishing it.

Bro nice base design. And the layout description was quite long xD which I decided to skip. So sorry if I write something which you have made clear in the description. Your base will be very effective against ground attacks ut against aur attacks it would suck. The air defences are at the edge of the layout and one dragon and 4-6 balloons will be enough to take out each of the air defence. Then minions will do the rest as the balloons and dragons would have destroyed many of the defensive buildings and also normal buildings. Please try and accommodate your air defence inside behind a few defensive structures to be safe against balloons. Also you can place your air defence behind gold collectors and elixir collectors as they have very high hit points and the Dragon will take a while to destroy it and till then hopefully the air defence will get rid of the dragons. Keep on the good work bro :). Here is a th7 hybrid base for DE protection and also trophy pushing base. Try this out and also rate it. I'm new here so trying to get a hang of this place :D peace

Fireline - Thanks for the kind words! I really appreciate the things you said about this design.
Yes, you should always try and say something nice about a designers own work before asking them to evaluate yours, that way it's NOT spamming, and you stand a better chance of getting a good rating, or even a rating at all. I am Admin though, so it's OK to ask me or a Moderator to look at your design, just remember we are all slammed with requests, so it might be a while, and the answer might be short, so they can move on to the next one (don't take offence). Also most Moderators hate to rate a design (unless they feel it deserves a minimum of 4 stars, or preferably 5), even if they do comment on it. That's because some people can't take criticism AT ALL, and come back and try and one star all the Moderators own plans as revenge.
I don't know why the thumbnails don't always work, it's a re-occurring bug we are still working on!
I commented on the newer def version (plan/680747) as that looked like the one you are currently doing the best job with, it now looks better than the v2 to me, and I also saw your comment from 2 days ago on the plan page, which seemed to be for me. I also raised your rating on that plan, I think you'll be happy.

It feels wrong to just advertise, so I'll say something about your base as well, so that people who read it will start using it and rate it five stars, because even though it doesn't look that brilliant, it eats a lot of time to take it down like Wired Fuzzy said. And attackers will underestimate it a lot, which will give you a lot of throphies really fast! So that's why htis is the best trophy base. If you're running low on cups just start using this base and that'll be over in no time!

Fireline - Thank you for saying that, not everyone is as patient and understanding as you are. The Farm convertible idea was indeed P*$$ poor timing on my part. But at least it is a decent base anyway. I think they should have put more than three spots in the game for saving bases, but it's a start. Although Farm, Defense, and CW are the most popular layouts, that still leaves ones like Hybrids, and TRUE trophy bases which protect the TH and defenses at the expense of Resources. Although those aren't as popular anymore, they still have occasional valid uses, so maybe someone who uses more than three designs will still appreciate the convertible plans. I will probably focus on separate bases now though, as you suggested. There really is very little difference between the two if they are designed well anyway. In one the center defenses protect mostly the TH, and in the other the same center defenses protect mostly the Resources. It's just a building shuffle for the most part.
I wish you a truly Happy Holiday as well, and I wish EVERYONE good health... it's the most important thing you can have, believe me. Take care, and please stay in touch.

    Hey Wired Fuzzy,

Thanks, I wish you goodluck too! And also, I forgot to say last time, now that you can save more than 1 base, it might not be the greatest idea for you to make a farm convertible, because you can also just save this defense base, and a farm base. So I guess you should just try to focus on making the best possible farm base, I look forward to seeing what you'll come up with, when it will come, I will surely take a look at it :) I'm making a new war base now as well, I'm going to put that online very soon I suspect. Well goodbye, and as I said: goodluck with all your bases!

Fireline - Hey, thanks for taking the time to comment and give me such a good rating! I will change the end of the description as you suggested, thanks!
As for the resources being protected, unfortunately, things are now going to get MUCH MUCH worse than they were before. I kind of dread the slew of comments I am going to get from the TH7 users now. I always had to explain to the TH8 guys why they were getting slaughtered as soon as they had any DE, now it's going to be the TH7 bases that get slammed as well. The problem is that anybody of TH9 level or higher, (and some TH8's), will do whatever it takes to get the DE, as they desperately need it for everything they use, and it's easiest to get from the lowest TH level that has any quantity... which is now TH7. If your DE is well buried in the center, unfortunately, it encourages high level attackers to destroy the whole base instead of just raiding for DE and stopping. I am afraid there are going to be a lot of disappointed players who don't understand why they can no longer win nearly as many defenses as they could before the update. If you really want to gain trophies, you need to give up on collecting large amounts of DE, as higher level attackers just aren't going to let that happen without a VERY long struggle. It might actually take longer to collect enough DE to buy the BK now than it did before we had the DE drill on this level, because those guys never bothered to farm TH7's for DE until now.
As for the hitpoint changes, the big negative is the Army Camps have been neutered, but since they were primarily taken out by ranged troops that can take them out without getting hit anyway, I am not sure that there is going to be a big difference. The camps will go down quicker, bu since most of the time defensive fire barely hit them until the camps were down anyway, there should be about the same damage done to attackers as before, once the camps go down. As I see it, the Archer Towers increased rate of fire will help even everything out in that regard. The other buildings hit point changes are going to take me a little more time to study, as I am still frantically trying to get the updates done to the necessary plans, so that people using them can at least know what to do with their new toy. I may move things around in the future after I see how things go.
I also rated your base and left you a comment on your page. Thanks for commenting, and good luck with your base!

    Hey Wired Fuzzy,

A while ago, when I was using this base (I switched to my own farming base now) I found that the AD on the right sometimes gets destroyed, and then a giant-healer-combo will get really far inside the base, and destroy the town hall. So I modified it, so that they were better protected, I forgot what I actually did, although I think that I'd still be able to do the same. But it became useless now, I think, with the new increased importance of the DE storage. I stopped using that modified version as well, because it didn't protect resources enough.

So what I'm saying is that you may want to try do something about that. Just a suggestion of course. I thought I'd let you know, and I'm rating you 5 stars anyway :) By the way, would you, if you find the time (you don't have to), check out my base and rate/comment it?

    Thanks anyway,

Fhghgu - Hey man, thanks for the invite! Unfortunately, I make the worst possible Clan member you could have. I can never be sure I will be available for a Clan War, no matter how carefully I schedule it, work, health, and a horrible internet connection often keep me offline for days. I also muck around a lot with my various bases, trying out new designs and tweaks. When one of my changes fails miserably, and sometimes they do, I can lose trophies at an alarming rate, which looks bad for the clan. So although I am honored you would ask me, I think I need to stay in my clan that's just for me and any family members that don't care about Clan Wars at this stage. You should post a request on the recruitment page in forums, just be clear what level you are looking for, what you expect from them, and any extra rules you might have like no profanity, or trash talk, or you always war on certain days, etc.
Thanks again man, and good luck!

Brendan123 - That's fair enough! Could I ask exactly what you don't agree with? As you can see from the comments over the months, the plan has unquestionably proven itself to work as advertised. Is it just the look of the layout overall that doesn't agree with you, maybe some placement of the Defenses, or Resources? Or is it the philosophy of the strategy of no-attack trophy climbing?
Thank You for taking the time to comment, won't you please elaborate with a bit more detail on what it is you don't agree with? I am always interested in opposing views, I learn stuff that way!

EVERYONE - I wanted to let you know that I have gone live with the first base in my new "F.C. Defense Base" series. This base actually consists of 2 plans. They are:

"TH8 F.C. [D] Defense Base by Wired Fuzzy"
    And...

TH8 F.C. [F] Defense Base by Wired Fuzzy

    F.C. stands for "Farm Convertible"
**THIS IS BOTH A FARMING BASE AND A DEFENSE BASE IN ONE**
It is reconfigurable from a Farming Base to a Defense Base, and the switch between the two configurations requires only 11 steps, and about a minute to complete. The purpose of this series of Convertible bases is to have a base that can be a serious Defense base when you are holding or building a trophy count, yet still become a great base for farming and guarding resources with very little effort.

This base is presented on two different plan pages. There is a separate page for each of the two layouts, in order to make it easier to switch back and forth visually, instead of just a text description of the changes and differences between the two. The one with the [D] in the title is the Defense Configuration, and the one with the [F] in the title is the Farming Configuration.

Please check them out, leave me a comment, and give me a great rating on them! :-D
I hope everyone enjoys trying them out as much as I enjoyed designing them.

I have an entire series of the "Pure Defense" bases from TH3 through TH8. You can find them by either clicking on my name in the plaque to the left of any of my comments, and it will take you to my profile page, which has a list of all my public bases at the bottom. Or, you can also find them from any of the ratings pages by using the "Author" filter.
Note: For some odd reason that even admin hasn't been able to figure out yet, my TH6 v1.0 Pure Defense Base is a "Ghost" base, as it only appears the first way, on my profile ("My Plans") page, and simply doesn't show up on any of the ratings pages... Very Weird! All of my others can be found either way though. I am going to add a new pair of TH8 plans soon that are made to be used together, to switch back and forth from one to the other, depending on if you want to use it as a Farming base, or a Defense Base, so that should be interesting.
Thank you for the comments, and reporting on your results with the base, as well as the congratulations! :-)

Thanks for complementing on my name! Most people don't like it and make fun of it, so I was hoping a name update would come soon. Within three days, I went from Silver 2 to Gold 3! That just proves how great this base is. Also, do you have a defense base for TH6 and TH8? If you don't, that's okay. Hope to hear from you soon, clash on!

Maxouche - That's a good solid attack strategy for gaining resources. Sort of a "Farming 101", I like the way you laid it out, starting with what level camps you need, and what to train. You're right about making sure you can get enough to pay for the raid too. I see a lot of people attack me who would have been better off with your strategy, since they spend a fortune, and still don't get any more for it than you would. I've done some raiding with that type of strategy, and it always pays off well if you're really patient, and wait until you find right prey. That's another expense you have to remember when your looking at prey to attack. My biggest problem is not having the chance to stay online for the length of time at once that you need to find right prey, etc., but I should be doing it more with my TH7 bases. My TH8 base is the original plan concept base, so in order to prove itself, I have to never raid with it. My two TH7's though, have no such restraints, I just need to find the time. Two weeks though, Wow, I can't touch that for time. You must have perfected your tactic, AND your eagle eye when searching!
I REALLY DO think your strategy is VERY WELL suited to be used with my Pure Defense bases myself. As you pointed out, you can get all the trophies you lost back with practically no effort. Instead of rolling over for the shield, you make a few of em give you some trophies first, and you still get a shield.
I would like to thank you yet again for your thoughtful comments, and all the great support you've shown me in general. You Rock!

    Hey Wiredfuzzy!
actually regarding the wall upgrades, it can be achieved pretty fast with a proper attack strategy. ine works very well I have to say, and I will share it with you. All your army camp should be L6, so it means that you have a troop capacity of 200. The objective is to have a cheap army that can get maximum ressources on an attack. It also means you don't give a s*** about trophies (but with this defense base, they'll be back pretty quickly). So basically, I train 16 giants, 4 wallbreakers, and the rest is archers. Archers are cheap, somehow durable, and they can attack over the walls. Then I select the prey, and it can be long. Focus on the ones with full extractors, and always bear in mind the cost of your army (the set of archer is 17,000 for example). Never attack if the available ressources don't pay back the army, at least. If possible, only use the archers to attack the extractors. If necessary, send a giant or two to focus the defenses while your archers are destroying ressources. The wallbreakers are rarely used, but sometimes, there are way for a 100% victory, so they can be usefull. Always keep a builder available so that as soon you have enough resosurce to make an upgrade it can be completed (also this makes you less atractive to other attackers, and revengers, as their ressource won't be here anymore). By applying this strategy I could upgrade all my walls from L6 to L7 within 2 weeks (and my clan members could do the same!).

Maxouche - Thanks for checking in with that great report! I am so glad it's working out for both of you. If your clan member has an account on this site, please ask him to give me a good rating, and I love it when people using my base check in if he has the time.
Thanks for the advice on the wall upgrades for people. It is true, there is a big difference, particularly if attackers manage to get inside the base. That's because although it only takes one extra Wallbreaker to get through the higher level walls on the outside, on the inside walls are usually taken out with brute force attacks, and it takes troops a lot longer to get through, and all the while your defenses can keep hammering at them. For that reason, I recommend upgrading walls starting from the inside out.
I must say, you showed great restraint upgrading the walls first, before the defenses. It's a great idea and I highly recommend it, but man, wall duty sucks. You deserve to do well after struggling through that before letting yourself move on, my hat is off to you!
;-) Thanks for the comment and the excellent tip, as well as the compliments. I hope you have a smooth transition to TH8, and I hope to see you on one of my TH8 pages. In addition to my existing TH8 plan, I should have a new pair of TH8 plans that are designed to be used together, ready by the time you move up.
Thanks again, and I look forward to hearing from you in the future.

    Hi Wired Fuzzy,

I haven't report much recently cause I'm damn busy, but I have to say that this bas is totaly great. I didn't count very precisely, but over the past week, and 50 or so attacks, not a single attacker could get 100% on this base. I advised someone in my clan to use your TH8 on his base and he is totally satisfied with it, this is difficult to reach 50% on this one.
Back to my case, I could see great improvement after the completion of the upgrade ow the walls to L7. Yes it is costly, but what an effect! Even myself, I think that this dark violet is frightening, and I wouldn't attack such base. So if I have to give any advice here to anyone, please upgrade your walls to their max before anything else.
Now I am a few upgrades away before going to TH8, I hope I can complete it within November. I won't keep on following you anyways! good luck, and clash on!

Meechgalhuquot - I think I might know what happened. There is a "glitch" on the plan layout section, where it may be showing 41 rows high, instead of the 40 rows, as in the actual game. If that is the case, and you counted both down from the top, and up from the botttom, things won't line up right. If that is what you have going on, the trick is to count everything up from the bottom right corner. I am going to send a message to WightSage, and let her know about that problem, I appreciate you're bringing it to my attention, I had forgotten about that.
I Thank You again for letting me know, and if I am wrong, and you still have a problem, let me know.

petervonnn - YES, thanks for sharing! I always want to hear about successes in particular. Hard facts and numbers for this base are exceedingly welcome, it's the only thing that keeps this train rolling for the new folks just checking it out for the first time. I am glad to hear you'll be moving up, and if I don't see you here again, I will find you on the TH8 page, if you are still using my bases that is! Getting pummeled by high level players doesn't go away any time soon, so it's great you have such a good attitude about it. It actually discourages some folks, who don't see that the small setbacks are meaningless in the overall scheme. This game is a years-long commitment if you want to make it to the top, so you have to keep your eye on the big picture, and not sweat the small stuff.

Lv5 Valkyrie - GREAT hearing from you again. I am glad to hear you got the Barb king. He may not help a lot on every attack, but the ones he works well on, he works VERY well on. I have found him to be an excellent Giant killer, (even after he was somewhat neutered in the last update from SuperCell), as well as any higher level troops that make it through. His worst weakness is probably against a slew of Archers, and that is annoying to say the least, but it still doesn't overshadow the good he does against the other stuff.
Dude, you should put up your farming base up on the site, why not join in the fun? Sure, you get a few jerkoffs that leave nasty comments, but they are fairly few, and a good comment on your hard work can really make your day!
I would like you to know that I am totally flattered that you would ask me to join your Clan, and I think the name is terrific, and will be especially so when you finally get to TH10, what with all the Lava flowing around. Seriously. I have never been asked by anyone before about joining their Clan, let alone creating one for the purpose. I am a LOUSY Clan Member though. I disappear for days at a time, and my schedule and health is such that I could never guarantee I would be able to participate in a Clan War for sure, no matter how we scheduled it. I am also always playing around with my base designs testing potential changes, and when they don't work, my trophy level can drop like a lead balloon, which looks bad for the Clan. At this point in time I am better off with my own Clan, which is only for family members who aren't serious enough to care what I do in it, and aren't into the Clan Wars yet. Actually, my Clan is mostly all me, as my Grandson has gotten bored with the game and left his village to rot, so it's just me and Sir Axealot now, although I do have three bases in the Clan myself.
Again, thanks for staying in touch, and please don't stop with the updates, as I look forward to hearing from you.

Lv5 Valkyrie - Always good to hear from you, and I understand being busy, believe me. As for the Pekka attacks, they are very unusual at this stage, I wouldn't stress about that too much, you really CAN'T win them all, and losing to a very advanced attack for your level is a near sure thing. I am curious, I don't know if you have your Teslas or not yet, I know you said you had not as of about 12 days ago. For what it's worth, Teslas are near instant death to Pekkas, and will take one or two out FAST! If I am not mistaken. I believe they deal out something like 20 times the normal amount of damage to a Pekka. Just one more upgrade for your list, right? ;-)
You are correct about the DE not being depleted as long as your Army Camps are full when you train them. Remember though, you remove them from the barracks before you use any troops if you don't want them trained, then put them back when your troops are done training, or they will end up in your camps.
At this level, the only way to get DE is to raid for it, or collect the DE left to you by dead Dark Troops, ( the Black Headstones ), wait until TH8 when you get a DE drill, or spring for enough gems to buy it. I am a tightwad, but I still sprung for the gems for enough Dark Elixir to buy him. It was worth it in my opinion, and payday I will probably buy another couple for my two TH7 bases. DON'T buy the Dark Elixir until you are ready to use it though, you absolutely WILL get hammered as soon you go offline with any amount of DE on board. Any TH9 and higher guys would wade through a hornets nest naked to get at it... they NEED it like a junkie needs a fix, everything they use needs it, and you will be the lowest level base to have any. You will learn how far they will go for it soon enough when you get to TH8.

Hi, sorry I wasn't on for the past few days. Homework. So just want to stop by and say hi. the base is doing fine, although I am losing trophies because people have been attacking me with 4 LV2 pekkas and 4 lv3 dragons and a whole bunch of archers. I think it is an exception to lose trophies during those attacks. I don't get raided by any Barcher attacks, think they are to scared to challenge the base. Thanks for the base, again. I am going to be on TH7 for a while because of it's upgrade time and many upgrades. One last question, when we train dark elixer troops is the DE barracks, they don't deduct your DE resources if your army camps are full, right?

Yessss... (picture Mr. Burns from South Park wringing his hands in anticipation) that DE does seem easy to get to right there, doesn't it? hmmm? ;)
The reason I have the DE where it is, is to BAIT PEOPLE into attacking right there where the AD and DE are, as that's where all the serious firepower is aimed at. At this level, the amount of DE most TH7 bases have is easily hide-able in the Dark Barracks. If you are a proficient raider, and you have managed to amass a goodly amount of DE, then my hat is off to you, and no wonder you want to protect it more. You could certainly switch out the DE with one of the other Storages. In fact, you should switch Storages around at will for maximum protection of your most desired Resource, as your resources on hand, and needs change. My personal recommendation, all else being equal, would be to swap it into the spot where the plan shows the left hand Elixir Storage. You would then switch both Elixir Storages with both Gold Storages as needed depending on which of those two Resources you are currently trying to build up the most. I have found that, although you don't want, ideally, to lose ANY resources, 9 times out of 10 you are usually pushing for one or the other of the two resources a lot more than you are the other. I have not successfully found a good way to put more Storages inboard in the base than I have, without losing the effectiveness of the plan as a whole. I hope I have at least explained the reasoning behind it's placement, if not actually been of much help for you in the way of protecting it more.
Thanks again for your support, and taking the time to comment. Please stay in touch, and let me know if I can do anything to help.

    Lv5 Valkyrie - I have pasted below a previous answer that should have been, and now IS in the general description;
    " No BK? No Problem!
What you need to do, is put the left hand Air Defense where I show the BK. Now, put the Archer Tower that is guarding the lower left corner up into the hole left by the Air Defense. Next, move the bottom mine up into where the Archer Tower just got moved from. Lastly, move the Dark Barracks over where the mine just was.
If you don't have the Dark Barracks either, put the top regular Barracks where the mine was, move the Research building to the left 2 clicks, and down 3 clicks. Now move the top left Army Base to the left 2 clicks, and the top center Army Base to the left 1 click. Now save your village, and look at the perimeter shading, if you did it right, there should be no space over 2 squares wide between buildings.
In exchange for no BK, you get better protection for your one AD as well as the Archer Tower, so it's not a bad trade off.
Thanks again for your commenting, and if I have helped you, give my base 5 stars, if not, just ask again, and I'll try and do better!
Thanks, and of course, Clash On! "
I hope that helps you guys! Thanks for asking, it made me go back and add it to the description finally!

EVERYONE - Just so that everyone is aware, I will/may soon be switching the two TH7 Pure Defense Base by Wired Fuzzy layouts soon. That is, switch them so that the v2.0 is on the original page (plan# 394717), and the original is on the v2.0 page (plan# 572396).
I think, in the long run, MOST people might do a tiny bit better with v2.0, as the Barcher attacks seem to be getting more common. This way, if I switch them, (and correct the descriptions of course), I may be able to get the people who are looking for the "most used" bases directed towards the 2.0 base, and since their ratings are nearly equal most of the time, it won't effect anyone else, unless they have it bookmarked. I will make sure I label them both as changed very obviously for those folks who have it bookmarked, so they can switch. I don't want to get rid of the original plan, as I still have a lot of people using it happily, and it is still an excellent base, particularly for higher level troop attacks.
If anyone has any thoughts on this, I am always happy to hear them.
If I do this, it will happen when I have a bit more free time, (what a joke I know), along with posting the revised TH6 v2.0 base. THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE FOR YOUR TERRIFIC SUPPORT, and I hope to hear from you, whatever base you end up on!

Wiggy87 - HELLO! Thanks for checking back in.the trophy counts sound about right, and I know they go up and down a lot when raiding a lot. The problem of the Barcher attack is somewhat universal, and it's really hard to not be at least one starred if the attacker is very good at using it. There is more strategy in placement and timing of those attacks than people give credit for. I don't know if you have checked out the TH7 v2.0 Pure Defense Base by Wired Fuzzy yet, but it has been tweaked specifically to help with that problem. You might want to give it a try. I believe it has been a significant enough improvement, that I am probably going to switch the two bases around in respect to their plan number, as I think more people will benefit from the v2.0 one, at least until they are getting attacked by mostly higher level troops. I will say more on this in another post. By the way, if people drop a barb on you, then leave, it means you looked to tough to attack in relation to the resources (or trophies) to be gained, so that is just as valid of a win as a battle in my opinion.
Again, I really, really thank you for all the support, and I hope to hear back from you soon.

@Wired Fuzzy - Hey Wired! Just wanted to give you an update. Also based on your comment below I wanted to give you some quick background. I don't remember the exact trophy count, but I started TH7 around the 1250 mark and have been fairly active raiding for resources but also trying to keep my trophies high. I have been using your base for the past 3 weeks or so and have pushed my trophy count up to 1614. As I have gotten to higher levels, I find myself losing the majority of the battles. Many people attack from the upper left (laboratory and barracks area) with just barbs and archers and fairly easily make it and can destroy my town hall. It seems the defenses do a good job of protecting one half of the base, so if they attack from the gold mine/elixir mines on the right they rarely make it to the town hall and vice versa. Most of the trophies I have received have been from people dropping one unit then leaving, but the 190-200 barb/arch attack seem to keep 1-2 starring almost every time. Still a great plan overall and I plan to try out your TH8 plan when my TH upgrades!

ripster - Hey, good to hear from you, and thanks for the good words of support! It's good to hear from someone who actually used my base through a whole level. I would love to know a few things if you don't mind, and have the time. Do you know where you were at in trophies (all roughly) when you entered TH7, left TH7, and what your highest count was during that level? I certainly hope you find my TH8 base as good as this one. Please don't forget to give me good ratings on my bases if you like them, that's what keeps them up in the ratings where people can find them.
And it just plain makes me feel good. :-D
Thanks again man, and I look forward to hearing from you on my TH8 page.

Optimator - "Wall Duty" I love it! That will be my new term for it from here on out. I'm doing wall duty on 3 villages right now, and ugh doesn't even begin to describe it. Definitely the the most tedious part of the strategy by far, but worth it in the end. You know, I don't revenge with this base because I'm trying to prove a point about how well they work, quite literally on auto-pilot. I have absolutely no qualms about doing a little revenge attacking with any of my others though. They can still watch your base, but they can't retaliate, so why not? You can snipe Town Halls if you're after trophies, or farm people who leave their mines and collectors out in a nice convenient row, (and you can patiently watch and wait for them to be full enough to make it worth it) to build up one or more resources. Or a combination of both, to hold the trophy level so to speak. It breaks up the monotony. I really appreciate your keeping me posted on the numbers, and you still have a long way you can climb with this strategy. Thanks again, and stay in touch.

Just another followup- I went from just under 1k trophies on my original post and am now at 1267. Not to shabby for not attacking :)

..and I am still lacking a lot of those TH7 defense upgrades! (been doing wall duty.. ugh)

    OK EVERYONE...
The TH8 Pure Defense Base by Wired Fuzzy has gone live!
Please check it out, and if you like it, I would greatly appreciate it if you could go ahead and give it a high rating, so that the "rating rats" don't get to it first, and one star it into oblivion before any actual users get to see it. Besides, you can always come back later and drop your rating if you hate it.
Thanks to everyone for all your support, and when you need a TH8 base I hope you give it a try.
