What are your thoughts on switching the Barbarian King and the Mortar near it? How often does that mortar get destroyed during raids? I really like this base its exactly what I am looking for!

Well, after 4 mortar update this base got improved a lot. Now wiz towers are protecting 5 out of 7 storages while those 2 on left and right are protected by mortar and skeleton traps. About DE - you can always change it with barb king.

Um, everyone is saying that this base is good for trophy defending, but how does it fare against defending resources?? I'm asking this because I haven't seen a base as well recommended as this base, so I'm thinking of trying it out. At the same time, my main goal is to protect my resources, so I'm just asking if this base can protect resources as well as trophies.

this is my base. Just moved one of the Teslas to the position that the other Tesla is. So just got one Tesla and BB in middle by town hall. Overall Great base with no apparent weaknesses

I use this in clan wars, and I rarely get attacked. If I do, it never ends up more than 2 stars. Once I defended against 38 hogs (8%), however the attacker was a bit of a dingus. This will forever be my clan war base.

This is one helluva base!

Eversince I used this for both my normal and CW maps, my defense never failed. Attackers only had a max of 1 star (for Lvl9 groups) and for the past week, I haven't activated any shield. This is one effective def map!

In our latest clan war, I got attacked by 8 Barbarians (L5), 23 Archers (L5), 10 Wiz (L5), 20 Hogs, 2 Dragons (L2), a healer, support troops from the attacking clan plus L4 healing potion and 2 L4 Rage potions. Guess what, they only ended up with one friggin star!

I would recommend this design

This base scares the poop out of other players. Had it as a normal base for a couple weeks and I'd go shield-less in Gold 1 with no attacks for several days at times. Last 3 wars no-one has dared try to attack it.

When it does get attacked it does good, I have only ever been 100% by Balloonions (Level 6), working now on getting my ADs from 5 to 6 to see if that helps.

Love this base - Great work with the design.

I tweaked it a bit. Here's the link if you're interested

Instead of the "W" you have at the south of the base, I kept with the 3 object design

I replaced the canon in the W with a wizard tower, so that it can cover 2 storages and the mortar

I also added 2 choke points next to the storages on the south of the base within range of the wizard tower I moved. So when the gobs funnel in for the loot they get zapped.

I usually dislike bases that have mines or collectors inside walls, for I´m a very active player and I really don´t need those buildings protected, BUT I guess that's ok for the clan wars. Maybe I'll try it out.

Ensae, in my opinion that base isn't that great if you're holding resources, because the storages are too much exposed and in my Glory Bringer base elixir storages are still protected from archers with mortar and wizard tower. Also that base has got some traps, who shouldn't be in that spot they are.

nice layout! I'm just disturbed by the asymmetry of the air defense (but that's me! :p)..

maybe u can use spring traps more efficiently by making passages trought compartments and use those walls to make extra compartments..and also the teslas are not so hidden..

but I like it very much! 4 stars for u!

I have used this base design for 2 days. And I got attacked 9 times, from those 9 times I lost only 2 defenses, and those were only 50% wins. So this base is pretty effective!
