A very strong center protects the 4 separated segments with the storage tanks. It's difficult to lure the king, queen and castle troops. I was looking for a way to keep the teslas longer online. In this setup they give massive damage. Well-placed, the traps do also a lot of damage. If you want to protect the airdefense more, exchange them with the elixertanks for example.

    Hi, looks like a good base. I don't know if you're visiting this page since its a quite old base, but I wonder why the Walls near all Air Defenses aren't pushed back 2 tiles so rangers wouldn't be able to hit them without breaking the Walls first? Also the big bombs at upper right and lower left seem to be a little misplaced in case of Hog attacks..

    Love this base. Something like my 10th time using it. Especially once tesslas are maxed I love that they're in the middle.

    I'm using this base for a couple of weeks now. Since I recently upgraded to TH9 I'm upgrading 3-4 defensive buildings at once with no real problems. This includes 1 xbow and a Mortar. I move them outside my Walls, just to keep the Giants busy.
    Never got 3-starred and most storages that were destroyed were 5. For the rest of the 3 or 4 'good' attacks they took only 2 or 3 storages. For the rest they all go for TH.
    I'm using both xbows on ground only.
    Awesome farming, I'm definitely will use this until TH10.
    5/5 Stars.

    This base works well. I used it for a bit. Could use a few modifications on Spring Trap locations but it's a great well rounded design.

    I do like this layout but i am wondering a few things such as what your response to Goddesspan would be and also what CC troops work best for this type of setup and as im sure its been tested are all the traps set in place so that is where they are most likely to be tripped? If you could answer that i would appreciate it greatly thank you.

    Hoi Martijn, erg lastige vraag.... Een setup bedenk je al spelend met je TH level, en naar aanleiding van de attacks ga je andere dingen bedenken. Een dorp bedenk je dus naar je eigen ervaring. Aangezien ik nu TH 10 speel, is het erg lastig mijn ideeen in een TH 9 te verplaatsen... check anders mijn TH10 plan welke ik nu gebruik. Deze kan je wellicht aanpassen voor je TH9, uiteraard zonder infernos en derde xbow.

    NO offense, Guust-flater. But after using this base for around 1 week, I think this base doesn't work well ... once the raider can break into the center compartment, it's easy to grab the rest of the Gold Storages. although each compartment defense is relatively very strong, the unsegmented center allows the invading troops to roam around freely and attack the rest of the compartments easily. In one of my replays, the raider used only 1 heal spell to maintain his giant's health. Once got to the center, he spammed 1 rage spell and lo and behold, the X-Bows and Mortars were all demolished in a matter of a second. This base also protects poorly against Hog Riders...

    Hi TravisDX1912, nice to hear my base inspired you! I like your version of it, but I've got a few comments. First, the advantage of funneling is of course the traps which do a lot of damage, but for the night I think funneling isn't great. The first attacker will be beaten, but the second person who attacks you will deal with the traps already activated, so this person is lucky.
    Second, I would exchange the teslas and the superbombs, because the bombs can kill a lot of Wizards or Archers at once. In this way your tesla wil be active for a longer time.
    But I'm curious how the Guust-Funneler works, let me know! Good luck a hear from you later, I hope.

    I was very inspired by your base and tweaked it a good bit to incorporate funneling.
    That is why I used your name as part of the Bases name: "Guust-funneler"

    Made an account just to comment on this. It's working great, I'm really loving the split storages and center of defenses. I always did farming bases with the storages in the core and the defenses in the outside and level 6 Giants always just destroyed me. 5 stars.

    Great plan. I think the problem with air defence can be solved when you swap the air defence and Elixir Storage in each sector :)thanks anyway for your plan.

    Thanks silkmaster for your comment! Nice to hear the base works great! Also check the defense version, though i like this one more, the other still works as well. The only thing I changed is the air def more inside, and gold or elixer tanks in place where the air def was. Have fun!

    Also, for the A11 comment...they are fine.

    For Justin's comment...having the storages protected, but not all central is key for a good farming layout. Anyone can mass drags or giant-Healer through one side of almost any base and hit the core. Very rarely can anyone break through a good base and get storages that are spread throughout the entire base. They are difficult to hit from one side and almost impossible to hit from all sides.

    This is one of the best TH9 layouts I've seen or used. I was using Pingfao's TH9 base, but I was getting demolished by even TH8s. Since I moved to this layout a few days ago, the best attack on me was only in the low 30%'s since they used mass Archers and just sniped everything outside the Walls plus the right de drill. The few attacks where people tried to break through the bottom left or top left to get the de storage just annihilated their troops. This layout has been great for me. Thanks.

    @A11ynC: you're right the air def is more at the outside, but it takes a lot of troops to finish 2 Air Defenses or more. Thereby give the teslas, xbows, Wizardtowers and of course the Archertowers backup support to the airdefense. I don't wurry about that

    Thanks for your comment Justin! In most setups the teslas are more at the outside, making them much more vulnerable. Now they do a lot more damage. Keeping the heroes and Clan Castle inside protect your funds much better.

    Nice base, but when I farm I think the storages are more important than the king and queen. Also, I don't think having the teslas in the center is a good idea, it's better to have a more compact 9x9 core.
